The Book Fairy Box for July/August – Spoiler Review

One of our Book Fairy Box subscribers has kindly reviewed the current box, but do not read if you are still waiting for your box and don’t want to spoil the surprise!

Book Fairy Salsarah reviews the Book Fairy Box, in her own words

I can’t tell you how excited I am every other month for my ‘Book Fairy Box‘ to arrive. I even re-did my subscription, so it would arrive as soon as the UK deliveries were sent out!

Such a well put together assortment of book goodies, I can’t thank ‘The Book Fairies’ enough for the choices they make…(round of applause and take a bow).

The Book Fairy Box: What’s Inside?

Two books, a note from a ‘Mini Book Fairy’, a bookmark – you can never have too many bookmarks! Three mini badges – funny that I had recently put an order in for the badge pack, as how fun it is to wear a badge when out on a book drop to complete your outfit! An item of jewellery with a book theme, of course. Keeping it green – a reusable beeswax wrap, perfect for stopping the use of single use plastic. A beautiful book fairy character as a print designed exclusively for the Book Fairies. A to-do list that looks just like a old skool library borrowing card – love it! The Book Fairies logo as a cookie stamp (more on this later in the blog)….And of course the book fairy survival kit with stickers that each and every one of us needs to do what we do.

Book Fairy Box: exclusive Book Fairy Print

The Book Fairy print by Rather Puckish was designed so well with us fairies in mind. Featuring the original book fairy tote, complete with wings, a perfect addition to this month’s box.

Book Fairy Box: The New Book… and The Secondhand Book

What a lovely surprise to find in the new book…a note from the author Alice Feeney herself! Wow! Again as each box is released a secondhand book is donated from the World of Books, so what a wonderful collaboration it has made, with the same thought as the book fairies, of putting books back into circulation.

Book Fairy Box: the Bees Wax Wrap

The reusable beeswax wrap was so fitting for me right now. I’d planned this month on purchasing exactly this, for my sandwich and (vine tomato), as I want to stop my use of cling film completely, and I must say, this has done brilliantly in helping me do this. The little aqua birds are so cute, I’m really happy I got this design!

Book Fairy Box: the classic book cover locket

Onto the Locket Library’s miniature book locket (which actually has space for pictures inside wow). I love it so much, it had it’s first outing with a blue jersey dress and was the perfect compliment to the outfit.

Book Fairy Box: exclusive cookie stamp

Onto the Book Fairy Wings Cookie Stamp! Now I’m not much of a baker, so when I saw it, I knew I wanted to put a creative twist on it instead. So out came my tiny green ink pad and onto the stamp it went and tah dah! As you can see, my future book drops will 100% always include the Book Fairy logo, so there is no doubt a book fairy has read this book.

Book Fairy Box: why I subscribe

I encourage anyone who is a bookworm and loves a surprise every other month to subscribe, as I’ve personally never done a box subscription before until the Book Fairies released their one and I was hooked completely (of course). I’m a big reader and have challenged myself and I’m curious to know how many books I can actually read in a year – so to have a new and secondhand one in each ‘Book Fairy Box’ is SO exciting. Thank you so so much book fairies – Salsarah is a happy laydee!

The Featured Book: I Know Who You Are by Alice Feeney

From the New York Times and international bestselling author of Sometimes I Lie comes a brand new, highly anticipated, dark and twisted thriller: I Know Who You Are.

Meet Aimee Sinclair: the actress everyone thinks they know but can’t remember where from.

Except one person.

Someone knows Aimee very well.

They know who she is and they know what she did.

When Aimee comes home and discovers her husband is missing, she doesn’t seem to know what to do or how to act. The police think she’s hiding something and they’re right, she is—but perhaps not what they thought. Aimee has a secret she’s never shared, and yet, she suspects that someone knows. As she struggles to keep her career and sanity intact, her past comes back to haunt her in ways more dangerous than she could have ever imagined.
