Skye McKenna hides copies of Hedgewitch as a book fairy

Skye McKenna becomes a book fairy for a day to launch Hedgewitch!

“”Have you never seen a faery before?” “I have, only, where I’m from most people don’t believe they exist…””

The Book Fairies of Edinburgh were delighted to be joined by debut author Skye McKenna today to celebrate the launch of her truly magical book – Hedgewitch! SIGNED COPIES were hidden around the city… Readers will become immersed in the magic of Hedgely and the lives of the witches and creatures who live there… We also hid some around the UK!

“The road was lined with ancient beeches, their silvery boughs reaching overhead to form a tangled archway.”

About the book:

Cassie Morgan has run away. After seven years spent waiting for her mother to return, she flees her dreary boarding school and sets out to find her. But the world outside her school is full of hidden magic and children have been going missing.

With the help of a talking cat and a flying broom, Cassie escapes to the enchanted village of Hedgely. There she will begin her training in the practical skills of witchcraft with the Hedgewitch, who watches over the Hedge, the vast forest that marks the border between England and Faerie.

Exciting! This is the first in a five-book series for readers of Nevermoor, The Worst Witch and The Dark Is Rising. The next book is called…. Woodwitch!
