The Book Fairies are celebrating an absolute classic today! We are marking the activity at Kew Gardens around The Very Hungry Caterpillar by hiding copies of Eric Carle’s famous book…
“In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf…”

Book fairies have enjoyed sharing copies of a classic today around the UK!
About the event at Kew:
Join The Very Hungry Caterpillar this Easter and follow Kew’s enchanting trail through the Gardens.
Embark on a transformational journey to becoming a beautiful butterfly, based on Eric Carleās much-loved book, and wind through sculptures of juicy fruits and a cosy chrysalis along the way.

Digest facts about the wonder of nature and the close connections between plant and insect life on Earth.
You can also explore the seasonal plants in the Gardens, with tulips, bluebells, magnolias, and cherry blossom all bursting to life!
Not lucky enough to find one?
Watch this video to see and hear Eric Carle himself reading the book!
If you’d like your own copy, you can find one at your local bookshop or order a copy here from Bookshop.org!
Happy finders!
We love hearing from finders!
