“Is this a book I see before me?”…
Today we hid many different plays around the UK to share the love of the Arts and celebrate the launch of LAMDA Exams’ new ‘Monologues and Duologues’ collections for young actors and teenage actors. Who was lucky enough to spot a play today?
About the hidden books:
LAMDA have teamed up with The Book Fairies to share their love of the Arts with the hope of sparking your interest and imagination. We hope they inspire you.
As well as sharing some classic texts, we also celebrated the launch of LAMDA’s new anthology which features monologues and duologues for young actors and teenage actors, written by a range of writers including LAMDA alumni.
LAMDA, London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, is one of the world’s leading drama schools. They have a mission to seek out and empower exceptional people from all walks of life, who have a passion for the dramatic arts. They’ve been around for over 160 years and bring together classic conservatoire style, vocational training, with the latest innovation and developments in the industry, for aspiring professional Actors, Directors and Production & Technical Artists.
You may have heard of them through their LAMDA Exams, as they are an awarding organisation too, offering world-renowned qualifications in communication and performance for learners of all ages. Their exams are designed to inspire the next generation of confident communicators and include a range of subjects from Musical Theatre, Mime to Public Speaking.
A big thank you to both Wordsworth and Faber for donating some really beautiful books to this campaign!
