If you’re reading this then you’re planning to run a Book Fairy Factory at your school! Encouraging children to become book fairies means they can enjoy being the giver of a gift to a stranger, and enjoy passing on a book they’ve loved.
What to do:
- Collect your book fairy pack from the Child Development Centre
- Decide on a date to run your Book Fairy Factory
- Encourage parents and teachers to donate books for the event, and bring them to the school in the days leading up to it
- On the day: create 4 zones: One table with the books, one with the stickers, one with paper / post-it notes and pens/pencils, one with pre-cut ribbons
- Plan a date to go out with your classes to ‘hide’ the books! You can also hide them on school premises for other pupils to find!
