How can I meet other book fairies in my area?
We love when Book Fairies join forces! Find other Fairies in your area by watching the Official Book Fairy account for your state, city, or country, or check the hashtag #ibelieveinbookfairies. Once you find them, schedule a meet up, plan an event, or even do a mass book drop. Be sure to notify your Official Fairy of your plans - they can always help to get the word out for you.

How can I make sure that The Book Fairies see my book drop pictures?
First, find the account for the Official Book Fairy in your area. Then, once you upload your photo, tag the Official Fairy account as well as @bookfairiesworldwide and any other Official accounts related to the city or town in which you dropped your book. Make sure to tag them on the photo itself because we get lots of notifications - and this is a guarantee we will see it! Finally, use the hashtag #ibelieveinbookfairies, and post!
It's great when people share a little info about the book and about the location.
Why do some countries have more than one Official Book Fairy?
The quantity of Official Book Fairies is dependent on the size of the country/state and also the volume of Book Fairies in one area! We sometimes need more hands on deck to help as many people as possible to share their love of reading 🙂
If you’d like to get more involved in your area, and you already have an Official Fairy, reach out to them! You can always arrange meet-ups, plan events, or even coordinate drops. The possibilities are endless.
What is an “Official Book Fairy” and how can I become one?
Official Book Fairies are responsible for creating and managing social media accounts for their respective countries or states (posting about their own drops as well as sharing when others have posted a drop in the area), as well as a few other bits and bobs in the background, which go towards our mission of spreading the joy of reading.
Book Fairies help carry out the mission! They hide their favourites, then share the experience with the Official Fairies so their drops can be shared with the world.
First, check the directory under “Official Fairies" in the menu. If you don’t see your country or state listed, contact bookfairyemail@gmail.com to ask about representing your area officially. Please contact us before setting up an account under the book fairies name - we will have lots of fun setting you up together!
Can I personalise my book drops or add notes to them?
Yes! We encourage adding a personal touch - a written note, detailing your love for the story or even just explaining the Book Fairies, is a great way to make the experience even more magical for the finder. Some Fairies add ribbons or other crafty touches, too.
I live in the U.S. Can I order supplies here, so I don’t have to pay for the International Shipping?
Currently, our Book Fairy Headquarters is located in the U.K., so all of the shipping will come straight from there. But don’t worry, we keep shipping prices very low to be sure the Book Fairies are always well stocked with supplies.
How do I become a Book Fairy?
It’s simple! Just click on “Shop” above and order your stickers. Once you receive them, place a sticker on your book, then hide it for others to discover. You can also order more fun items to add to your drops, like ribbons and buttons!
